To add a gift designation

A gift designation identifies the specific area within an organization that the gift will support.

A single gift may have more than one designation. Therefore, each designation is assigned a percentage of the gift. The sum of all of a gift's designation percentages must be 100%.

1. Open the Gift Information of the gift for which you want to add designation information. $image\chiclet.gif$ How?

2. Click the Purpose tab.

3. Click $image\add.gif$ in the Designations area.

4. Enter the designation information. There is help available on each field.

5. Click on the Designation Information page, and then click .

6. Click at the top of the Gift Information screen.
